i have a recipe scheduled for next week, which demands daikon radish
i can't seem to locate any easily, even from waitrose
any suggestions on an applicable replacement? european red radishes have little in common
closest thing I can think of is a the white part of a white cabbage heart or a white turnip.
on a side note..
my car is named after the white cabbage butterfly (*monshirochou) but daikon is still a damned cool name

What's the recipe?
You can get daikon at tesco but its called mooli, which I reckon is the chinese name.
The closet thing otherwise is probably a turnip
Sounds good. Could you post the recipe?Originally Posted by directhex
