I'll be honest, I never seemed that impressed with the number of complaints I heard about OCZ memory modules going bad. It may be their roots, but I think they did better in other sectors of the industry.

Been getting a lot of bad press recently for some of their low end RAM, wonder if it's connected. Interesting that they reckon only 3% of their profit comes from the low end market, presumably they don't want their name tarnished trying to flog cheap memory at that end of the market. Good to see they're going to focus on the high end stuff though, which seems to have a much better reputation.

It's no surprise also that the SSD market has accounted for a lot of their profits in the last year and that they are going to concentrate in this area in the forthcoming months.

I've always used OCZ and I've always been impressed by them. I had my 800MHz sticks running at 1050MHz for about 6 months at one point, at stock voltages and never had a single issue, very good RAM as far as I'm concerned .

I only ever use Corsair to be hoenst, I once had 2GB of 800Mhz G.Skill that died a death but never had any OCZ.

As long as it doesnt effect there SSD's I dont care.

I've used OCZ ram for ages now and cant fault it at all...

And as long as its only low end stuff going thats ok.

Just hope it isnt a trend toward them stopping all ram manufacture!

I heard their returns department was pretty good too but as I never used them myself I dunno how true this is. I've gotta say the OCZ RAM I do own is pretty good though (I own the 800mhz CL4 ones that overclock to 1100mhz ish as well as the reapers before which did 1333mhz on CL6 DDR)

I have been using OCZ titanium for the last 18 months or so. I have not had any problems so far.

Not used OCZ products in years, the last 4 memory purchases have all been Corsair kits, i wouldn't change brands now tbh.

I've used OCZ kits alot in the past, not for any reason, just always come across them cheap/good specs compared to others, never had any problems!

Can't see the article, so I'm not sure. Sad to see them stop completely though, if that's what's happening!

They're the ones I have, extremely good RAM .

Normally I use Corsair or Crucial but I have had OCZ in the past and it was also pretty good stuff, and it's always good to have competition!

This thread has reminded me that I never did get around to changing the timing on my memory.

Had some OCZ ram... went bad within 6 months. Stuck with Crucial or Corsair since. Although saying that, I had some Crucial sticks go bad on me, but that might have been my fault due to the sheer amount of plugging/unplugging I did with them.

Still, always bad for the consumer if a manufacturer stops contributing to the market. OCZ make good stuff in general.

I used to use Corsair but, when I did my last build I decided it would be either Crucial ballistix or OCZ Platinum and the price (and it being in stock) was the deciding factor. The 2x2 kit was only £40 then. So I ended up with OCZ.

If it does go bad it has a lifetime guarantee. However long the life of it is deemed to be - I don't know.
