What they failed to tell you was... I was about to buy my system the other week, came with the 'Classic Warranty' (1 Year Onsite, 2 Years Back to Base), so 3 years total.

When I come to order, I noticed the sudden change to 1 year on site. I emailed them, to which they reassured me that it was still 3 years (I still have the email to prove it). However, after phoning through my order, I discovered that it is just 1 year after all, but the total came to the same. They have cut 2 years from the usual service, and charged the same for it. I was getting 1 year on site anyway, I don't see how this is improved.

Probably find that the press release is a month old and should have been released on the 1st April!

Watched Watchdog, nothing new, actually spot on with what they are like, it wasn't over done or anything. About time they got some proper deserved BAD publicity. I've DVD'd it and that will be shown to anyone who will be thinking of buy Mesh in furture.

I was told by davey there was changes in going on within their CS last October 2006, what a load of * that was.

    Watchdog ----

How much is this going to harm mesh computers, my friend has been looking on the website and came to the decision to buy one, he's been putting it off for a week or so and just seen this watchdog report and decided not to... a typical case, i really like mesh computers, you do get good performance for your money but it is worrying to watch this stuff.

I missed the report but i also like Mesh beacause of the value for money however i hate their after sales support if it wasnt for this Mesh would most likely over take Dell or become very close!

It was the amount of problems there were. And obviously the legendary customer support, it sounds as if most people that purchased a pc or laptop had/has trouble with it, which again is worrying.

Just watched the watchdog article and found it very interesting. It now seems that if you phone Mesh they pickup within 4 rings. I assume because of this report so at least its had an effect.

Im currently in the middle of having a repair sorted by them, but I also had a similar case to the guy on Watchdog. It went away and came back with the same problem. Something which would have been picked up on if the PC had just been switched on and tested. Fingers crossed the engineer who comes out this Friday will fix the problem.

If it wasnt for Davey on here I would be in a right mess though. I was unable to get answers or help from any of the Mesh phone support people I spoke to. On one call I was passed around 5 departments for a total of 1 hour and 15 minutes. After losing my rag and posting on here, Davey stepped in to help. However Im sure mine is not an uncommon story

Mesh must have appointed a hardline Performance Manager + extra staff. It's the only way way I can see a real service improvement being achieved.

Itll be an improvement if they get rid of those indian call centres. Its not just Mesh that suffers from these. The more companies that drop them the better.

    Thumbs down Mesh improved service

If Mesh do improve their service then it will be for the good.
But I & others know it's just cosmetic to show the BBC they care, dont be fooled!!
If Mesh cared about their Customers they would have done something earlier!

I wonder if they'll respond favourably to the letter I have sent seeking compensation, or the small claims court if not satisfied.

And another email off to Watchdog!

I'm really glad my email to Watchdog along with all the others has started to make Mess(h) sit up and listen. Perhaps they'll now realise the cost of pissing people off!!
