Yeh really good film, just got back from the cinema. Its has a much more grown up approach compared to the child like approach of the previous ones. A sequal has been set up very nicely to. Its definately worth the money to go and see, great film.

Here's my long awaited review as per Bertie's request ......Well what can I say that hasn't been already said about this film, it really is the 5 star mega blockbuster film of the year! I have to hand it to Christopher Nolan he really has pressed all the right buttons when he directed this film. The film's best attributes are its realistic tone and character driven story rather than focusing on action, especially the focus on Batman himself is pleasing because in the previous films it has always been the villain who has overshadowed the hero. I just loved the explanation of where Batman got all his gadgets and how they worked especially the batmobile which I think really stole the show for me. I also have to give props to David Goyer who wrote the screenplay for this, who had been in my bad books lately because of that debacle of a film called Blade Trinity which he wrote and directed. Also the cast was superb everyone performed their roles superbly especially Christian Bale and Michael Caine for me. I just couldn't help but be reminded of Paul Whitehouse's "My name is Michael Paine and I'm a nosey neigbour" parody whenever I saw Caine on screen hehe. I have to praise Bale who was superb as Batman, it seemed he really immersed himself into the role especially when he was interrogating a corrupt detective upside down as he did come off kinda scary. The only bad thing I have to say about him is Batman's voice which seemed almost laughable sounding like Alec Baldwin for some reason. But to be honest you don't really notice it as you get absorbed into the story as the film goes along. The one other minor fault of this film is that sometimes you don't understand some bits of it, so it's definitely a "go see it twice" job which I don't really care about as I would not hesitate seeing it again. I hope my "review" has been helpful enough to tempt more people to go see it as it's definitely worth the ludicrous price that Odeon charges!
I can go on and on and on about how good i thought this film was but im not going to...
Im glad he did this film, im glad christian bale played batman, im glad he ignoured all the other films (even tho tim burtons film was great!) and im glad hes planning on doing another 3 films and has already signed Christian bale to do them.

Hehe did I go overboard with my opinion, anyway I had no idea Christian Bale had signed on to do 3 more films. Obviously Batman Begins ending was left wide open for a sequel, as long as they keep the main ingredients of the revitalised franchise, Nolan + Goyer + Bale = pwnage. Then I can look forward to another excellent film although I heard the current film wasn't an initial commerical success as WB hoped for and with a 120 million dollar investment they're expecting a hefty return. I wouldn't worry though with great reviews and word of mouth it'll make at least double that amount.
Saw it last Thursday with 40 mates and not one person didn't comment on how good it was! Its certainly a must see film at the moment.

Watched it last night at my local Odeon, it is excellent. I always liked Batsy most out of the DC lineup (Xmen from the Marvel). What made the film for me was the consistently believable world it was in, like a slightly polarised alternative universe.
Also nice to see a Batman film about Batman and not the villains.
Yep - Nicholson was a bit too focused on on Burton's film.
