    HELP: MAC Code Length?

I've got my MAC code from my present ISP. However I tried to use it but was told by AOL (who I'm moving to) that the MAC code was not correct, it was not long enough.

So I e-mail my present supplier and they have replied but with the same code.

AOL told me the code needs to be 12 digits followed by a / and then five digits

    so: XXXXXXXXXXXX/XXXXX

However my code is only 11 so i could not complete the switch to AOL.

Does anyone know if the MAC code HAS to be 12 digits? or was the AOL person incorrect?

    Thanks

A MAC is a unique code, identifying a particular broadband line, and consisting of four letters that identify the underlying service (BBIP or FTIP for IPStream, BBDS for DataStream) followed by between seven and nine numbers, a slash, and five alphanumeric characters (e.g. BBIP1234567/1F6HT).

Connections based on LLU use an LLU MAC, which consists of four initial letters (LLUS), followed by six digits followed by four further digits showing the expiry date (i.e. LLUS123456ddmm).

AOL are correct. If your MAC key is only 11 digits then it is incorrect
