Hi all,
I've got a BT ADSL connection into the house which goes into a USB modem to the MAC. On the MAC I have the Ethernet set on sharing using the ADSL modem. This should share the MAC ADSL connection with others on the network via the MAC Ethernet port.
Now the pc is connected to the MAC via a Devolo network kit. The kit is composed of two electric plugs that route the internet via your power lines in the house (these actually work even on different electric circuits) so I plug one near the MAC and one in the same room next to the PC so I can work on both.
The PC is configured to use DHCP no netwear protocols etc. I can get a ip address (ipconfig /all shows all the details) I can also ping the outside world (ie bbc.com, google.com). But no web access, it just times out. Web access is working on the MAC. I can ping the MAC etc from the PC.
So there is communication from the pc to the MAC and to the outside world and the MAC is sharing the connection, but no web access.
Both MAC and PC have no firewall enabled. (MAC os 10.3.X PC win XP sp2)
Any ideas anyone?? Devolo have been very unhelpful saying if the plugs work it's not their problem which is strictly true but he just laughed and said use Google! Well i thought Hexus would be more useful!
