    Server Hosting?

Anybody know of anywhere that will host servers and provide bandwidth for a monthly fee?

I'm not talking their servers, I mean one I send to them.

    Cheers,
    Unts.

You're looking for Co-location. Try Googling that.

yep - I know of a couple, but it depends on what you are after.

you can pay very little ( relativly ) for your rackspace, but then ti depends on what sort of reliability and connection you want the upstream on.

rule of thumb is normally 100/u/month ( to include some bandwidth )

what sort of bandwidth are you looking for ?

drop me a PM if you want

Try to befriend someone in a place like Germany, if you don't have any friends in Europe already. That way you can get them to take your box to a datacentre there. Shippage charges might cost quite a little, but prices will be veh schmall, compared to the UK.

Although my post is probably no help whatsoever :/

I'm looking to set up a game server.

I have one with another website (UT2003) and that is sponsored and hosted by somebody. However it's pretty much had it now and I don't think they will be able to accommodate future needs - the host is only a small company, and also the server is at rackshack, Texas, lol.

A friend of mine says his local company could host - but they don't have the bandwidth I need.

Oh, and I'd say 100GB monthly bandwidth.

100GB/month and 1-2u of rack hosting is gonna be £2000 odd a year.

David is a very good host btw, if you are after realiable quality hosting as opposed to cheap-ass hosting that is.

I have used a company in the UK called ASUS http://www.asud.com
They are a nice bunch of lads who have a heafty pipe and lots of room. They do server rentals and co-lo. I don't sun a server any more but when I have my NT there I was totally happy.

Just had a look at their prices £165 a month for 100GB transfer. Trust me their lines are BEEFY
Not wanting to pull business away from Hexus, and I have no actual dealings with ASUK, I'm not gonna get ££££ for this LOL

    Good luck

I can do you 1Mbit transit + 4u for £80/month. 1Mbit is on 95%ile so you can burst up too 100Mbit for 33hours of any one month. This will run game servers with ease.

If you interested give me a ring 07708361750
