Limiting Bandwidth to people on internet

I have a Sitecom WL-160 I believe it is router here and I want to limit the bandwidth to the other users on the site as they make the internet run slow for me and I pay for it all. We have a 20mbps connection and I can barely load a page most the time. It really irritates me.

Also is there any way to make sure only people in the house are making use of the wireless connection?

Yes I believe I have set it up correctly with WEP.

look at your DHCP list on your router and see who is connecting. As for limiting bandwith, its going to be hard just using your router.

If you have some spare money to spend, get either a spare cheap slow PC, or even better a Lex Light mini-pc from linitx.com, and put m0n0wall on a CF card. Put it inbetween the router and the clients, and you can do proper QoS for all the traffic. If you use the wifi on your DSL router, this would mean having to buy a different access point so that it was on the correct side of the m0n0wall PC.

I don't know if this is possible (but it should be), to use an eeePC as a firewall box?

I think it depends on your router, some routers have the ability to prioritse traffic but I am not sure how reliable this is. I think the best way is to probably go with what is suggested above.

If the people aren't paying then just limit them to http and https. This should stop most of the bandwidth hogging downloads. Block outgoing ports except for 80 and 443 on all ips except your own. This was easy enough on my old netgear router, hopefully yours has similar functionality.

Not sure about the Sitecom but on most decent routers you can restrict the pc's that are allowed to connect to the wireless network by MAC address (not entirely fool proof on it's own but is a good added layer on top of WPA etc.)
