wireless modem+router...

Got a mac the other day (yay!) but discovered my aging virgin modem (a speedtouch 330) which is fine on a PC is not supported on Intel macs (doh!) so I'm looking for an all-in-one solution of a modem + wireless router unit rather than faff with two separate boxes trying to get them to play nice and fiddle about with cables and so on...so, whats the best to go for?

p.s. not utterly stupid but keeping things as simple as possible would be ideal...

Netgear DG834GT (Ex-SKY ones in particular) are all over ebay. Expect to pay under £40.

im not going to call them easy, cause that's quite person dependent. they are easier than most though

I like the interface on the Netgear routers, everything else just seems odd having used them for years. First thing to do when you open the box is to put the cd in the bin. Everything is pretty well explained when you get into the web interface.

phone virgin and say there modems not supported on your new rig, they will send out a network version

If you're on Virgin, don't you need a cable modem, not an ADSL one?

I'm on Virgin broadband only, not FO/cable/tv weirdness...

right, went for the Netgear as advised above. doddle to set up and unless the house has burnt down whilst I've been at work today its all good.
