What kind of network setup for this scenario?

So heres the scenario, a company wants to setup a network at two different sites, lets say one in london and the other in glasgow and they require full internet service.

So basically they want to network two separate sites together.

What kind of setup is ideal for this situation?

    Thanks

One site hosts the public connection, the other site VPNs in and runs through the proxy there. It's not rocket science...

    Ditto.
I'm no networking buff, but even I knew the answer is a VPN

you could also go with MPLS but this is still very much like a VPN

Re: What kind of network setup for this scenario?

If you wanted to go a bit further into it...

I would put a decent leased line at both ends (depending on the size of the user base) for the VPN / MPLS.

If London was going to be the main pipe for the internet I would either get a decent business connection like BE Pro or if it was key to your operation I would get a couple of managed lines with fall over (once again this depends on the size of the user base)

I would then setup a farm for terminal services at the London end and host everything there.

This is probably not the best way to go if you have over 100 users in Glasgow (due to cost) but it will reduce the number of IT staff needed, improve response time to faults and make the IT department very easy to control.

Re: What kind of network setup for this scenario?

Two leased lines and VPN/MLPS if costs dont matter too much or bonded ADSL (possibly an extra ADSL connection too for redundancy with a different provider) if costs matter.
