    MAC code questions

ok im moving out of my current address in a shared house, i am the BT account holder and im also with BEunlimited. Now my house mate will be taking over the BT phone line via a transfer, but BE dont allow a transfer to a different person. and a disconnection from be is £40 or 3 months written notice.

so my question is if i ask for a mac code and then give it to him (my housemate) to take to o2 (or whoever), will this work or does it have to be in my name for the MAC code to work. I cant see any reason why this wouldnt work, but does anyone know for sure? I mean the code wont contain infor about the person would it, and he could just open a new BB account and use the code ? right!?!?

    any advise guys n gals?

    Re: MAC code questions

Just to confirm, mac codes are specific to line and not to the person so it should work fine.

    Re: MAC code questions

another way would be to transfer the BE account to your new house and have your housemate get a account of his own
