You really need to ask this on a public forum that will log your IP*?
Hexus is not the place to discuss your flagrant flowting of the law. I would stop doing that before you get a visit from the BAN hammer.
*No, I know Hexus Ltd will not abuse this information, I just know that the users current internet account and his post regarding copyright theft have been linked through various logs on various system.
Well you did accept the terms of the contract. So really, BT aren't doing anything wrong.
As mentioned, VM is the only cable provider in England. BTW caps are lifted after 9, not 10pm.
Yeah it's just annoying that after accepting to renew the contract I now have to pay a installation charge for the new house I'm moving into after being told it would have been free. Ah well
Brains a little bit fried, had house mates querying me about whether or not the internet will be ready for the move in date and I've had to rush to try sort everything.
I am now on a new battle and thus will change the title of this thread.
I don't want to start my new BT contract, pay £122.40 worth of connection charges to be hit by what is very possible going to be a 4mb connection. It was agony living on a 6.5mb connection in a flat of 6 so having an even slower connection really isn't going to gel.
I've already tried to bring up their inconsistincy about advertising a FREE connection charge which they dismissed pending lack of evidence. I'm unfortunately out of the time frame to make a complaint about their change to the T&C. Would I have much of a claim at the fact that although I agreed to renew my contract for 12 months on the 18th May 2009 and they activated it on the 20th May 2009 my 18 month contract that started on the 11th February 2008 doesn't technically end until the 11 August 2009 surely? Or are contracts allowed to cross? Surely then I'll be losing 2 months of my 18 contract if the 12 month renewal was to end on 20th May 2010?
