Netgear DGN1000 Signal Problems

Hi.

I have just bought this router. Netgear DGN1000 its all setup I'm having problems with my Iphone 3gs connecting to it through Wifi. As soon as I leave the room where the router is located and move into another room the Iphone looses the signal, but both my laptops work fine on Wireless in other rooms. I have been to Netgear forums and they have said that as the Iphone is a smaller device it does not have a such a big antenna as a laptop. I also have the same issue when using Wifi on my Nokia 5800.

I have also changed the Wireless channel, re locating the router and changing the security settings for the Wireless none of this has helped.

I didn't have these issues on my old router.

Anyone know what could be causing it?

try updating the firmware and have it broadcast mixed range 802.11 g/n

I've tried what you suggested but its still the same. Any more ideas?
