Since you have R30 firmware I strongly recommend you use modem only mode with your own router. That's what I do and its been rock sold!

In my opinion, the superhub is not fit for use as a wireless router!

Aye, you're not the only one to recommend modem only mode to me.

I would go down that route but the range on my other router is absolutely shocking.

Glad to hear it mate, its probably the most common issue I deal with these days. What I don't understand is why they don't either provide these hubs with channel 6/11 as standard with a selectable auto function, or provide a channel switch on the router. Surely it cant be that complicated.

Re: VirginMedia Problems - Pages not loading

I've been stalling gong up to the 30 of 50 meg service for ages because of the superhub issues. Is the modem mode that you guys mention a standard feture or only available in certain circumstances? For the moment I'll stick to the 20 meg on my old modem.

Mind you, compared to the piss-poor service I got on several ISPs running over nasty 1950s BT cable, Virgin is a dream, warts and all. BT engineer gloomily told me they didn't have enough good cables going back to the exchange, so they just played switcharoo with good / bad cable as job tickets came in. It was a lottery week to week whether you'd get broadband at all. Great...
