i did own www.jimlittle.co.uk... but it ran out and the company wanted £40 to renew it! which seems high as it cost me £12!!! so i'm, gonna gamble and try and rebuy it whenever it comes back on the market.... anyone know how long that takes?

Well your domain name has been detagged, so you need to follow this to get it back up and running....
http://www.nominet.org.uk/ref/detagged.html
Thats one of the important statements there...Once a registrant has confirmed they no longer require their domain name, or has not paid their renewal invoice, the registration will be suspended after 21 days and then cancelled between 6-8 weeks after that.
Nominet for reference is the UK's standard body for domain names afaik and therefore the information there should be 100% accurate.
Read and follow the instructions and you should be fine

thanks bud! - have some rep points!
You could make it quicker by surrendering the domain and then re-registering when it gets released - http://www.nic.uk/MakingChangesToYou...ame/Surrender/
ok that sounds better, i'm gonna have a read now thanks!
40 for a renew? thats a outrage
Someone left a note on a piece of cake in the fridge that said, "Do not eat!". I ate the cake and left a note saying, "Yuck, who the hell eats paper ?
Who did you get the domain name through?
i'm not sure my mate brought it for me at the price of £12 which was for two years, and a good deal, but the company now want £40 to renew, so we are thinking about what options to do..
