How do I connect domain to web space

Just went to a broadband connection with plusnet and they give you 250mb webspace and a domain name for a quid a month. My missus is into breeding/showing fell ponies and wanted to know if I could set up a website just showing pictures/shows/new foals etc and I wondered how I would link that to a domain name. Totally new at this if you hadn't guessed.

Probably best to get in touch with your ISP and ask them. They will have systems in place for this sort of thing.

think it depends on whether plusnet have given you a dynamic (bad) or static (good) ip.

could be wrong, i just write the code i dont set up the sites

Not necessarily; generally only the expensive business DSL services guarentee a static IP.

or zen ;-) (www.zen.co.uk - contact me if you are intrested )

I think the webspace provided by your ISP will be on their servers.

if the domain is registered with plusnet, I'd imagine that it would be pointing to your webspace automatically.

If the domain was registered with other people then you'd need to alter the dns records for the site.
