Im on Gio-internet, they have a package that i use called home500 it's £18.99 a month (With a one off activation charge of £59.95).

You can use your own modem and filters or buy the whole package from them.

The only thing is it seems to not work one day every couple of months though..
and they dont answer emails, you have to phone them up.

But they are so cheap, i'll be sticking with them for a while yet.

I use nildram, get very good speeds, very reliable (more so than my netgear router) and customer support is excellent (had to use it why i started went live 4 days early). Coming to renew my account and im not even tempted to change. Also if your a gamer they hoslt the kolt servers, i get an average 25 ping on them, which isnt bad at all.

If you go for a different adsl company (Nildram, Zen, eclipse etc) and you pay their fee's do you have to also pay bt's adsl line rental ? I still can't get my head round this apparent fact that all you need is just the adsl modem + fillters etc and the company to give the connection... Bt MUST come into it somewhere ??

You need to pay BT normal phone line rental.

BT 'enable' ADSL on your phone line, which allows any ISP to provide you with an ADSL service. The ADSL fee is billed to you by your ISP and BT bill you for normal phone line rental.

    cheers,
    dave
