    Moving to a new IP

I've got three days left with my current provider (Tiscali) and I'm looking to move to a new provider. Showing the same level of customer care and assistance that they've provided during the last 12 months, they don't support migration at all, so I have to set up a completely new account with my next provider.

I know ZEN are supposed to be the best but their charges are quite high and I don't have the £58.75 required for sign-up so, unless they offer free sign up in the next few days and reduce teh cost of their 1mb service to £29.99, they're out.

From a price and no connection fee point of view, I've looked at Demon, UK Online and MadasaFish. I can only find info on Demon at ADSL guide. Which one would people recommend?

I am currently moving to UKOnline 8mb service, although its only available in LLU enabled areas.

Would have recommended plusnet accept for their F UP (fair usage policy).

Have used Nildram before and been happy, but take a look over at www.adslguide.org for more help.

I've studied adslguide.org, I've searched around other providers. For the price and options (UK Online 2mb unlimited use £29.99, for example) the three mentioned look good but, using UKO as an example again, I have heard some negative comments.

I just need a nudge in the right direction.

I did consider that but I do game alot (on average about 4 or 5 hours every night) and what with normal use, the gaming and the occasional dl, I don't know if the 15Gb cap will be sufficient. I presumed that for an extra £4.99 a month, with no cap, the UKO option looked better. I don't know.

I'm sorry about saying this as I am not perfect:

I was drawn into this thread with IP (Internet Protocol) rather than ISP (Internet Service Provider).

It's the coming on here and having others draw attention one's short-comings that makes Hexus such a friendly experience.
