Then RMA it QUICK!!!!
They might only offer you a replacement. If they do that ask for a different router of similar value - have a look at some reviews to see which one is good.
They dont even offer replacement dabs say if you have it longer than 28 days they only forward it to the manufacturer, and then the manufacturer sorts it out.Originally Posted by Timmy!!!
Thats normal. Phone up Linksys and they will sort it out for you. You will have to send the router off to them and then they will send one back to you.
Make sure you have their UK number though!
But wont i just get the same problem since its a flaw in the product?Originally Posted by Timmy!!!
I was going to call up their tech support to see what they thought of it but everytime i call it forwards me to the americans
Just ask for a router of similar value, or a refund. If they say no then they are not obeying the sales of goods act. I bought a dlink card that was incompatible with my motherboard for some reason and they replaced it with a different card of the same value. (I think it was a newer revision).
Dabs are pretty good, they should give you a full refund if you explain to them that you cannot get a decent signal from client to access point because of your house.
Well, ok, i'll tell them it doesnt handle my connection needs etc, see how it works out
yea my 3com does fine i only need to restart every 1 month really good i would recomend it its at the latest firmware but sometimes i get problems updating it dunno why maybe cuz i aint a uber geek? lol
So this one?

Reviews arent stellar on there, but with something like wi-fi it could be as much user error.
i find it strange that you need to restart them every month. my dlink one never needs to be reset unless i have been fannying around with it and mess it up.
If you want to get a new one reasonably cheap goto your local PC world and go to the cheap returns place they have loads of wifi routers on the cheap. I saw an £80 belkin 125 Mbps one for £45 hadnt been opened just returned. There were others different price but same model it seems very inconsistant price wise so look at all of them.

I called up Linksys, the guy couldnt really tell what it was, he seemed lost.Originally Posted by Spud1

He did say I had a 3year warranty and if the problem comes back after i try all that then he'll have to replace it
and thats in breech of the sales of goods act.Originally Posted by Marcos
