    ref Virgin BroadBand

Ordered, good web site, easily done....pack arrived on time.
Modem arrived on time. Al emails on time too.

    Invoicing is clear and concise.

It went live bang on time.

    It works superbly.

512mb £17.99 no set up or connection, free filters and modems. 1 month contract, no tie in.

    Speed testing very well.

    Virgin...I salute you

    So far....100% score. Awesome

So you are enjoying your NTL connection (for iirc they are behind Virgin's service)?

My bro in law just went with virgin, nice, quick easy. Its good that they have dropped the sign up fee, but retained the 1 month contract.

Just a quick question about the NTL bit, what part of the connection do they provide? Thought it would still be 90% BT.

Capped? Yes 3gig. Ideal for me and Rias to fly on, surf on etc

NTL: Trust me, while they may do summit behind the scenes (dont know, dont care but didn't know if they did) its not them I'm dealing with. At all. Period. it is after all ADSL.

Happy? God yes AND I've justused them for car insurance (my first car insurance for a long long time) and they were 100% efficient there too.

    So far....so very pleased

    It's 100% owned by NTL
& NTL were spending £65 million on local loop unbundling at the 300 busiest exchanges although I don't know how far on that is.
Likewise NTL supply Tesco's BB & no doubt some others too.

Pity they dont bother looing after thair existing customers, Im still payint 25.99 a mnth for 512k. The dont seem to be interrested in downing the price so im moving ISP's.

Well, I played IL2 on it, and got good pings. I uploaded and downloaded and it was fast.

But I didnt know NTL were behind it. Ironic though, as I had a nightmare with NTL on cable. I guess owned by, not administered by is what counts. It all "feels" very Virgin.

zak to make it better call them and say you are leaving as you want a 1mb connection. They will upgrade you FOC (mine was done in 2 days) to uncapped 1mb.
