What do you have at home on your connection?
Is it a static IP address or do you have a dynamic which is supposed to change when you log out and back in ?
Static - I pay to stay
Dynamic - change is good as it hides my ID
Unknown Allocation - I dunno but I can play on the interweb

I'm with NTL and although I don't pay for a static IP, its hasn't changed for months. Which is handy cos I can access my home PC from work if I get bored and play about with it.
Dynamic at the mo....Virgin.net
And don't think a dynamic hides you......those ISP's might not ever get anyithng right, but I BET thay can tell you which IP's they assigned you for ever and ever!

5x dynamic IP address
Dropping to 4 when I move into my new apartment, but still dynamic.
My web server currently has a public IP address directly on it and is up 24x7, but will be behind a NAT router which will keep the IP and allow me to reboot the server without fear of getting a different address
~ I have CDO. It's like OCD except the letters are in alphabetical order, as they should be. ~

Static from Plusnet as standard. Had the same one since I got ADSL.
I voted dynamic because I assumed you mean't my ISP. If you mean my private network, my router acts as a DHCP server for all computers accept my servers. All domain controllers and print servers are private static IPs.Originally Posted by WildmonkeyUK

And yeah, dynamic does nothing to hide anything.
8 Static (5 usable) from Zen at Uni. Excellent ISP btw
I voted dynamic but its not good. I would like a static IP but BY are too thick to offer them

I haven't specifically paid for a static IP but it seems to be pretty static... (Telewest)
It may be that I never log off...
Dynamic, and I wouldn't want a static! The only thing that sucks is my Team Speak servers IP changes tooo often. But its worth the inconvenience.
oh, and I have Verizon
Plusnet, static. Wasn't a reason I chose them but it is....
