    tiscali!!!!!! again

    hello,
i am the prowd owner of my new pc,this is all well and good but in the middle of the day im enoying a bit of counter strike i decide to give it a rest and go on later, but my fav servers are all like 100 ping max ones. And for some reason every day at 5 till about 10.30 11 the lagg comes and my ping is always over 100.so i get autokicked from all my favourite servers.
enough is enough how do i get out of this gay 12 month contract if i can??

there are a few things that i could use to my advantage such as im moving house very soon like 2 weeks. anyway i can get out of it??

i have exactly the same problem - i play Call of Duty 2 online and keep getting the message "this server is for low ping players only" which really annoys me

I really want to get out of my contract to, so would also appreciate any ideas people have (ive been in this 12month contract since oct)

I have been with Tiscali for 5 years but only 2 years with Tiscali BB. I have very recently started getting the occasional high ping boots in Battlefield 2. but as i stated this is a relatively new thing so maybe its just a glitch in there service while they upgrade or something. As for how to get out of yr contract - try reading the terms and conditions on the Tiscali website

Looks like you have to buy yourself out if you do want to cancel early

17.2.1 by giving us at least 1 month's notice to us by telephone (please see "Contacting us"). You may not end this contract during the initial 12 months of your contract with us although you may provide us with notice by telephone of your intent to do so. You must pay all charges for the broadband service until the date on which your contract actually ends

im with tiscali, read internet prviders thread to see my prob... but i have told them if my prob isnt sorted by the end of the month (which they said it will be) they are breaking there own terms and cons so there fore contract does not stand
so if its not sorted by end of month im going with someone else (by the way iv only been with them bout 2 months)
i had a very heated convo with them earlier there not in my good books at all.

good luck by the way (you'll need it)

My tiscali seems to be fine, I've had problems in the past, but my 2mb reaches max speed at any time of the day, and I usually get pings as low as 7 on Counter Strike

u ring up, State what is wrong. Say u are paying for a service which they are supplying. So they have broken the agreement between You and them. So just cancel

I had that thing back with my 512k Tiscali, but thats only the reported connection rate, it is actually limited to 512kbit speeds.

i would tread carefully as you dont want to end up with bad credit rating. I always find them slow from about 5-11pm but theres a nasty trend that isp are starting to limit speeds around this time of day...

Yeah Tiscali cap my 'unlimited' service during peak time (6pm-11pm) on weekdays, but I don't mind it because the internet is far faster than what it used to be, therefore it must have worked somewhat.
