I read up/watching this some time ago and thought it was great news. What I like about MS now is their willingness to start over with things when necessary, rather than trying to plug holes in a leaky boat (so to speak). It's interesting to note that the new stack gives far better performance with large transfers - something i'm really going to benefit from personally. It seemed very predictable that they'd implement a two way firewall this time round (which can only be a good thing) too, so more good news there.
It'll be interesting to see how easy networking is to configure in the final build - it certainly seems much better in the current CTP.
