    Hmmm

I have a paved front garden but the neibours do not so there is about an inch of soil on our side of the garden and under the fence so that should be ok. Do the attatch the outside box thing (whats it called? To the closest part of hosue or do they choose. For me i would want it to on the side of the house but that is the closest part to where the soil is so that should be ok.

So once the hole int he wall is drilled and the "box" is there how do they cable through the walls? Do they use the fishing technique or what? An you say that they have to lay new cable for the telephones? and is that new telephone ports as well? I think there are only two rooms i would ever get ntl tv for so ill tell the guy that. Im guessign that my original cabling is still there, ie my coax tv network and 3 core phone and that i will be able to use my tv network as normal?

sos for all the questions lol - how much input do i get in the installation, and how good are the installers?

Yeah, I can definately recommend you are nice to them...! The bloke I had was decent, and was happy to put cables where I asked. Theres a good chance they'll arrive in unmarked vans as well, something i found a bit odd. The engineer who fitted my cable said it was because they get fed up of having their pay docked everytime someone phones the "Hows my driving?" number of their vans! That was a while ago mind. He said people would just ring up the number for a laugh (although I'm sure that wasn't always the case!).
