it is definately faster to link up with a VPN and for file sharing through it...much faster than my Netgear, nearly twice as quick.

I take it you read my review, dangel?
Mine's now running on an 8Mbps line, no trouble.
As for what Zak33 says about using IE to configure it, the 2800's firmware seems fine with Firefox, so I guess it's just the legacy Drayteks that have that issue.
I did indeed - but it's been floating around my mind for a long time as they get mentioned a fair bit on here. I suppose it's not that expensive for all that is does - and if it does it solidly i'll be a happy chapOriginally Posted by Steve
Well that wasn't fun to setup - good job i had the internet via the old router to find out how to get the blinking ADSL up and running. Otherwise very good tho and everything 'just works' without random power off/rebooting rubbish.
A mate of mine got one of these after having trouble with a netgear and a linksys and swears it's the best £150 he ever spent (and he is a tight git).
I think I will have to get the credit card out and just go for it
mine too.Originally Posted by FatalSaviour

Updating firmware felt a bit 'clunky' too (mine was very much out of data) having to do one thing on the router and then use a program on your pc to forward it to the router. It failed the first time and went ok the second. I've had 3 netgears and one linksys and all were far easier to get ADSL up. Without net access you're somewhat stumped for help
/reaches for the Supra Express 56k modem
