Is it possible to buy a Gigabit Ethernet Express Card in the UK?

I am hoping to buy a Dell Laptop shortly, but there is one thing that bothers me. The model which I am looking at has an Express Card slot, which I might want to use for connecting to an Ethernet network. However, I have not been able to find any UK retailers who sell Ethernet (RJ-45) Express cards, although I believe that this type of card can be bought in the US.

I wonder if anyone can help me with this problem?

    Sansannah.

I'm sure they do sell one somewhere, however as its a new standard it will be rather expensive and as you have found, hard to find

So far I have only found them to be available direct from dell in the US.

Does the laptop not have built in ethernet? I thought every laptop...in fact every PC, had ethernet as standard these day, with the majority having gigabit as standard.

The Inspiron I've got has ethernet built in, but its only 100mbs. Having said that the uni feed here is only 10, so it matters little. At home its on the wireless, which it does a/b/g so sorted there
