    NTL Routing Problems

Anyone else suffering from problems with NTL broadband?

I first saw the problem when I couldn't log on to World of Warcraft earlier this afternoon (along with many other NTL customers according to the official WoW forums), and through further investigation it look like it's not just specific to WoW. The problem seems to be a lot worse for (or maybe even limited to) sites outside the UK, since Hexus and some other sites load fine, while WoW (hosted in Paris) and other sites from the US and elsewhere in europe are having problems loading.
I don't mean to sound cold, or cruel, or vicious, but I am so that's the way it comes out.

Yes It is a problem between NTL and Telia (who are blizzard europe's primary ISP) and a couple of other ISPs who NTL peer with through Telia.

So no way round the problem for now - personally I think that someone in telehouse has just unplugged the power cable for a rack (NTL and Telia both have lots of their equipment in telehouse), or one of the server rooms has overheated again and everything has shut down...but then i'm cynical (plus if you have seen inside telehouse you will know what I mean..the aircon in there is a joke lol)

I'm sure it will get fixed soon though...NTL are one of the UKs largest ISPs (like it or not) so they can't afford to have a major problem like this for long..

I just hope it's not a fault at Telia, only ever heard bad things about them from users in Europe, and there have been quite a lot of problems with the WoW Europe connection. Currently one of my guildmates is having to play through a VPN to get reasonable pings, cause problems in Telia's network have caused a lot of German ISP's to give realy bad pings. This is a very long running problem, first time it happened is was for a couple months, and it started again about 2 weeks ago.

Telia are terrible tbh, they must give blizzard amazing rates for them to stay there...or there must be a nasty contract ;/

I have problems galor with plus.net also (we are in the process of moving from NTL to ADSL), and I ping at 1000-1500ms atm with plus.net (on doomhammer realm).

Not happy, but at least it gives me an excuse to get some work done eh
