Hmm, that's something I'd LOVE to be able to do right now... just pause and chill for half a day or so.

As you're all probably aware, gaming.HEXUS.net has now launched and , being the Gaming Editor, it's up to me to see that it's populated with content worth taking a look at.

The site has been in development for a looong time now, and up until last Sunday, I assumed it'd be a while before we launched.

So whilst I was 8,000 miles away in Xian, my esteemed boss, the golden haired one, was telling me all about the site and stuff that was happening with it and how he wanted to launch immediately.

Being 8k away when your site is about to go live is not the best of places to be, so we agreed that we'd wait until I got back, got some fresh content in there and then we'd launch around the weekend or possibly the Monday at the very latest...

So when my feet touched British soil at 7am Wednesday morning, I was looking forward to a day loungin around, chilling out and generally re-adjusting to UK time (and being a lazy bugger too).

Imagine my horror to find that clicking the 'gaming' link at the top of the screen took you to a site that I thought was as yet unlaunched! All my plans for being lazy blew out the window right then as I unpacked the lappy and started transferring files across from that to my ain rig in a bid to get content on the site.

Thursday was no better, gaming.HEXUS.net has it's own news log in, which though exactly the same as the HEXUS one just didnt like me or my password... the review and article database had a load more gaming.HEXUS specific entries and all the work I had done so far haad to be manually ported across by changing these entries.

I have to say that David did the vast majority of that work while I started on the news... but I then delegated that to Kez (I say delegated, I mean I threw my mouse down in frustration and let him get on with it) as we needed to sort our recent news into chronlogical order and get that up on the site.

I frantically coded up two reviews I've been working on, one of which is a UK exclusive... truth be known its an exlusive everywhere except in Germany where the M2 mouse is made... and then we were getting ready for the mailshot to go out today.

So from finalising articles for ACON5, Computex and reviews and news and re-learning where to put stuff in the db and where it shows on gaming.HEXUS, it's been a whirlwind of typing, coffee, fags and jet-lag... the latter is only staved off by very strong coffee with three sugars and four Pro-Plus stirred in...

And next, to my wife's unending delight, I'm heading off to Knutsford this weekend to go and see a preview of a new game and I won't be back until Monday evening... and you lot thought it was about sitting on me bum and playing games all day.... (I used to think so too, tbh, how wrong we all were!)
