It's a funny old world... I can quite happily sit at home for months, just doing my thang and then the gaming shows come along all in one rush.
First there was EIEF, up in Edinburgh, which, though not large, was a great chance to chat to all sorts of industry people and generate some great content for HEXUS.gaming.
I then took two days off before driving back down from Scotland, getting a few hours kip in my own bed before heaving meself off to Stansted for a flight to Leipzig for the Games Convention there.
One US guy I talked to reckoned that per square footage, GC was only a little smaller than E3 but was larger than E3 per number of exhibitors!
I saw so much at GC that I've got a goodly amount still to write up, so that's me sorted for the rest of the week... but this is being slowed by something very, very special that I came by on Tuesday... and once I've figured out just how to make it do what it should do, you'll be the first to know about it...
Going back to GC for moment, one thing that did disappoint me a little was some exhibitors had an almost xenophobic attitude to non-German press, which, at a show touting itself as EUROPE'S gaming show, was more than a little annoying... I'll not name any names... I'll just hopefully bump into them in the UK one day and helpfully direct them to 'The Blue Oyster Club' when they ask me directions for the nearest tube station.
