Help: New CPU cooler

Thanx to everyone. Does the Arctic Freezer come with a paste or thermal pad? Which one is better? What tools/products do I need to clean by cpu when I remove the old stock cpu?

My Freezer pro came with pre-applied thermal paste. It works fine at the moment, but apparently takes quite a long time of usage to 'cure' and get even better. I used nail varnish remover (these are either acetone or isoproyl alchohol based) and a cotton bud.

You're better off buying AS5 regardless, it's only a small price to pay, it's incredible stuff and it'll last you years.

Yeah, I have a Thermalright XP-120 in my Centurion 5, I was looking into the TR Ultra-120, it looks like a beast of a cooler, but it looks a bit big, not sure if it would fit in your case/motherboard combo.

i have a tuniq with a p5b and it only just fits in my TJ09 (with motherboard tray as its easier to fit ouside the case, its a pretty decent cooler but a bugger to fit

These are at very different ends of the cooling capability spectrum, with the Tuniq Tower out coolng the Noctua by quite a wide margin.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 is a better cooler and a cheaper cooler than the Noctua IMHO.
