typical my e-mail was down last night so I couldn't order it then.

But phoned ebuyer and they said they'd have some more in buy the end of the week

The 'actual memory stick' consists of a PCB, SPD timings and a few other small things, excluding the chips - nothing complex. As for 'no-name IMO', All Crucial RAM is Micron made. Crucial are one of the top companys for mission critial RAM. They are used in many high profile systems.

All great except I had to change my last Crucial memory after 13 months and one stick again after a further 6 months. Glad I had that lifetime warranty...

FWIW, I've had 3.7GB showing on Windows 2000 with 4GB of RAM
Its the address spaces for the cards and devices that use up the memory space. You cant have the same memory addresses pointing to 2 different things.

(granted they are looking at the pc8500 not the pc5400)

What we can tell, is what we told before - these aren't just any sticks - each chip onboard of these modules comes from a big, hearty batch of UTT chips sent out at a discount by Micron to Corsair.

EDIT: another thing to note is that this corsair memory is not the dominator, xpert or even Pro vertion but the "Classic" and bottom of the XMS2 series, but still for £57 what do you expect and it still does have that lifetime garranty

I only said someone told me it was up to 128gb or something so it's 64gb, I was only one ^2 out
