I'm at 3.4 stable with mid to high 30's degress idle and mid to high 40's under load.

I'm using the arctic freezer 7 pro
Me too, apart from I've got a Scythe Infinity, and my temps are 34C idle and 60C load

I wud rather wait for the 120-Extreme or IFX-14 whichever comes 1st. But in the meantime Ill use the AC7 Pro as it seems most peeps are gettin gr8 temps with them, and its cheap

I've only seen them at quietpc.com so far, they had a few in the other day for £47.50 + del (~£53). They have since put the price up to £49.99 + del (~£55) but with a month's leadtime!

You could import from somewhere like jab-tech.com, but the shipping and potential customs charge may be high.

EDIT: IIRC, the shipping was about $30, can't confirm as they're out of stock now

Using the same CPU & cooler, is it true that there's no guarantee that Harkin (or anyone) can achieve the same level of OC as someone else?

Also, is it true that different 'batch' processors OC differently? For instance, I've heard that 'B batch' CPUs are best for overclocking. How can one tell which batch is which though? And most importantly, how/where can one get hold of a 'B batch' E6600 for example? G

P.S. If anyone feels this is unrelated to the OP's post or requires a new thread, I shall delete it

On the CPU itself, and on the box, there is a number, usually starts with a letter And most importantly, how/where can one get hold of a 'B batch' E6600 for example? G Its pot luck, unless you can find a shop that can tell you what they have in ove the phone.

If you really want it, you really can't go wrong w/ a u-120 x; it's a great hs when lapped. It has to be pushing the limits of thermal dissipation on air. I'll be really interested in seeing some real temp data on the ifx-14 vs. the u-120 x or other monster air coolers.
