Did u get a modded top for it? I wud definitely suggest a modded top cos as original the head etc isnt that great. Petra's Top is good but there are also many more.

Yeah, check out the BFG 8800GTX watercooled. It comes with the Danger Den 8800GTX waterblock preinstalled. This card only takes up one slot, unlike the fan-cooled models, which slurp up two.

I am only installing one GTX for now though.

A standard GTX + EK block is much cheaper and will perform the same.

I think I'll go ahead and get the system running smooth, then think about mods. Thanks for the suggestion though. I think i'll have less than 10 feet of head, which should work out to 1.4-1.5 GPM.

If this pump doesn't work out, I'll just stick it on my fish tank and get a MCP655.

    Tooooooooooooo late

This box is my graduation present from like 10 sets of relatives... they all chipped in, because i've been talking about this project for a while. I actually have money left over... I think all told I spent $3500 or so today.

Is the pump the 18w model? if not, its not going to be up to the job. You will also need a different top for it as it comes with 3/8 connectors and the rest of your stuff is 1/2" isnt it?

Ah, you are quite right about the fittings... I will need the different top.

It is the 18W model, so it should do the job. It is rated for 20ft nominal head...

Where should I get this top mod?

Not to sure where to get stuff in the USA, but search for something like Petra's Top, gives a bit more head and it has the 1/2" fittings. It either come prefitted on the pump, but as u have already bought it u will have to get it seperate. Its real easy to install though, just like a few screws and thats it. Just try some local Wc shop, they shud have all the different tops and instructions

I should just cancel the order real quick and re-order the larger pump elsewhere.

I just cancelled the order and ordered the larger pump from petras instead. Cheaper than buying the smaller pump and the top...
