I'd just like to ask your opinions on a shortlist I've boiled down to...

    1st - 2Gb (2X1Gb) Corsair Value Select DDR PC3200 (400) as suggested by ReddDragon

    2nd - OCZ Technology 2x1GB 184DIMM PC3200 Platinum

There was a deal for around the same price on some Geil RAM but I seem to have lost it!

Hope this thread gets noticed after so long. Heheh!!!
Can't believe how much prices have dropped. I was the Corsair to be around £20 more expensive, and the OCZ even more.

IMO go for either and they're both quality. Well Scan may work out cheaper due to the free delivery, but only just.

Cheers amjedm... I was surprised to get a reply to this what with the age of the thread.

I may put a poll up For a couple of days as I only sent dabs, scan, OCZ and Corsair emails last night to check these are OK with my Motherboard. Still be able to get my order in by weekend.

Now... To figure out how the poll feature works!?!

In a lot of places they are far more expensive. In fact I think I've seen both sets of RAM for DOUBLE the price on some sites! I just spent a lot of time rummaging around the inter-wobble to find the prices I've ended up with... I'm becoming a penny pincher in my old age!

I'll be placing an order in the morning so if anyone has any further comments get em in now please. I say morning... It will be sunday, so morning will be any time after 2!

    Thanks again, LD!

Re: RAM Upgrade. DDR400 on ASUS K8V-SE Deluxe

Just to let you all know, I've bit the bullet and gone for the Corsair. Mainly due to price as the OCZ has gone up a bit and from what I've picked up on both sets of RAM are very similar unless overclocking - which I'm unlikely to do.

Expecting delivery on friday. So thanks for your advice and fingers crossed!
