White Spirit/Turps works wonders for me

Have always used Isopropyl Alchohol or if the chemist won't sell me any cos I look like an alkie then I use Meths. And with cotton buds, then lint free cloth. Not sure if that's right or wrong, but it seems to work OK for me

Acetone and cotton buds do it for my gear

i find a pneumatic drill is good at removing thermal paste, i recommend using it on 'light' setting though.
