can anyone recommend a cooler for the cpu since i plan to overclock or would one not be necesarry for an overclocking to 2.8ghz
Stock would get you there, but not comfortably. Any decent after-market HSF would do, but large ones won't fit into that case. Maybe the Arctic Cooling Freezer Pro, which is quite cheap.
