    Question Fan Error

    Updated

The HDD LED still does not light up : ( I have followed the wires and they are connected correctly. Is this due to the mobo feature which has not yet enabled support for LED with SATA drives?

I finished building my new machine last night and with a few exceptions:

    1. "Fan error" displayed on starting machine up
    2. The odd CMOS error
    3. Not knowing whether to use SATA as IDE or not

Windows XP 64 was installed and working.

Why is the BIOS reporting CPU Fan Error? The fan is spinning at full speed
Is there a way of getting rid of the error and turning the fan speed down?

If anyone could advise that would be great. Thanks

Original Problem below solved I think

    SOLVED
The main problem is I can not see the case power LED i.e. does not turn on. The same is with the HDD LED.

I am using an asus blitz formula motherboard, and have tried the Asus Q-Connector and with the front panel pin headers plugged in.
