    Go for it. For £150 it's a worthwhile upgrade and is massively better than a Dual Core in any processor intensive tasks. After 4 or 5 hours of getting one, I can see an improvement in the performance already.

    Don't forget that you can OC the processors quite easily. I'm sure that a q6700 will OC equally as well, would you really see a difference of under 10%. And when the clock speeds get to 3Ghz or higher, the difference will become neglible I'm sure.
