    Talking which 22" monitor?

Hi there peeps, was looking to buy a new monitor and have been looking around on the net to see what i could find. I came across a few monitors but thought i would gather a few opinions/recommendations first before i made any decisions.

Basically i am looking for a 22" monitor with loads of inputs at a reasonable price (£250max?) any recommendations?

    Re: which 22" monitor?

Hmm well i recently (wednesday gone), got hold of a samsung syncmaster 226BW - for around £200 from komplett. so far im pleased with it, image is nice, good for movies too. build is nice aswell, stand is stable.

there is a new 'pebble' design out for these 22 samsungs aswell, its a lil more dearer (around £208) they look more like LCD TV's then monitors.

I have the HP w2207 which is absolutely superb, but I'm going for a 24" model soon.

Have you considered 24"? They start from only £280ish now...

    Re: which 22" monitor?

What are you requirements for the monitor? Is it for games, multimedia or photography?

I personally dispair at TN screens, but I am not a big games player. If you want to use it with an Xbox or PS3 thats another thing. Also do you like or dislike Glossy screens? I am a matte fan, but others much preffer gloss.

Yeah, what's it for? And I also despair of TN panels. Not a good choice for a gamer imo. Although even the fancy ones annoy me too.

I would be using it for games and multimedia i.e watching dvds and the like. Would also want to hook it up to the ps3 so would like the monitor to have loads of inputs...i was recommended this LG monitor from play a little while back:

something like that would be ideal!

    Re: which 22" monitor?

The LG isn't bad but my mates has a fixed green pixel and a sizeable patch of yellow biased pixels at the top which has become known as the "piss stain" which LG apparently won't do anything about.

I like my dell monitors, never seem to have any trouble with them.
