good to hear, ive just built my new rig after a couple of years and was just wondering about that slight difference. using a scythe mine atm, so may be due to contact and the lousy push pin system.

FYI - CPU power usage scales linearly with the CPU frequency, and scales with the square of the voltage. So, for example:

    - a frequency increase of say 10% will result in 10% more power usage, and hence 10% more heat to dissipate.

    - a voltage increase of 10% will result in 21% more power usage.

That makes sense, v^2/r I suppose. Of course temp increases won't match heat increases, as the change will depend also on the cooling. It does illustrate why you should use the lowest voltage possible.
