I need to buy a wireless adapter for an old dell inspiron 8100 laptop.
I think the inspiron 8100 supports 32-bit cardbus (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Is it going to be best to get a PCMCIA card or a usb adapter... I'm thinking in terms of how far the thing is going to stick out, all the USB ones I've seen stick out a couple inches, and look like they could easially get knocked... this is for a laptop that is going to be mobile around the house, so the less sticking out the better! But PCMCIA cards also all seem to stick out a lot...
Can someone recommend me either a USB or PCMCIA that doesn't stick out much? Or better still, are there any type III PCMCIA cards that don't stick out at all?
