The D12SL are great fans IMHO, but then I always compromise with perfomance/noise. The ratio of the D12SM is also very hard to beat if you want more CFM whilst keeping noise to a minimum, FYI the Yate Loons are the same fans as used by Nexus...

Personally I use 1200rpm Scythe Kaze Jyuni fans throughout; 68Cfm @ 24Db, one of the best Noise/CFM ratios on the planet. Also worth noting is that the motor whine is very low pitched... this is a factor often overlooked when users are blinded by already under-rated Db figures.

I recommend the Scythes without hesitation
