What hard drive to use?

The 1TB is faster, much denser platters.

And compression?! Drive compression is the most pointless feature around.

If you are taking a backup there's nothing wrong with compressing it, especially with ghost images for example.

doing a format tomorrow

im gna use the 500gb and 750gb for storage

and was thinking of using the 1tb as the main drive, but wasn't sure if i should partition it for OS and games/apps
or just to use the drive as a whole unpartitioned?
