Q6600 G0, Thermalright Ultra 120, ABIT IP35 PRO, 4GB Corsair DDR2, Trusty old Tagan 480u, BFG 8800 GTS 512, Samsung F1 750 GB.

You'll obviously be aware that you lose a good portion of the stated drive capacity after formatting it, but you shouldn't lose 100GB from a 500GB drive
Check it in Disk Management > Storage, to see if there are any hidden partitions?
There shouldn't be of course, if it's a brand new drive, but it's worth checking anyway?
If it is a brand new drive, and you do find a hidden partition... get straight onto whoever you bought it from!

Yeah, that happened to me.
I ordered a 1000gig drive and it showed as 800gig.
Turned out I had 200Gig in unpartitioned space.
Google "Paragon Partition manager" or something similar.
It can expand partitions without reformatting I believe.
