    Compaq laptop nx6325 input problem

I have a Compaq nx6325. The keyboard and the control pad do not function anymore. The usb ports do not work either. I have tried to add a external mouse and keyboard. Took the computer to work to use a docking station and it does work via the docking station. The wifi also works fine.

Does the motherboard on the laptop need replaced? or one of its components?

    Thanks,

    Gerry.
