Need some shelves

I need some shelves for an HTPC and DVD player/Sky+ etc.. If anyone knows where to get some cheap premade ones, please let me know!
dimensions approx:
1000 (1800 max) x 900 x 600 (all in mm) height / width / depth
Need 4 shelves, ideally adjustable height.

Either that or I'll make them myself.

B&Q didn't really have anything suitable, neither did Ikea.

Heheh. And nope, it doesn't have to be free standing. It has to be pretty sturdy though, because a fully loaded HTPC can weigh a fair bit.

I'm actually thinking I may just build some fitted shelves myself. Either buy some shelves or just buy some wood and some brackets and just fit them into the cupboard. It doesn't have to look good because it's just inside a big cupboard nobody will see but me.

I did see a really nice website that lets you almost custom design some and they will make, but it was too expensive (about £140). So I'll probably just make some, but I'll keep an eye out in case I see a nice little set for a good price, I'd prefer that. That BigDug probably has some but I'm not quite sure. The B&Q ones would have been fine if only they were a bit deeper. The height and width was plenty, but it needs to be 600mm deep because that's approximately what my HTPC will be and I'd rather it not be hanging over the edge if possible.

seriously though. I vote for buying the wood and building one yourself.. I have an Ikea one for my PC and i still had to modify it to make the monitor and amp fit, even though in the spec sheet it said they would fit... and some shelves have those plastic peg things to hold them up, might not be strong enough.. so just buy the wood and build it yourself, it's easier in the long run.

Just make sure to measure the sizes at least 3 or 4 times before building - the shelves i've recently built i can't even reach the top 2 shelves.

I'd just get some wood cut to size and some "heavyweight" brackets. Plus whatever screws you need to attach them solidly to your cupboard. Probably take no longer to put up than to put the bigdug together. Given you're not worried about look, this should not be expensive and you know that it will be the right size.

You'd be better off with a TV stand, this one Buy Montana Entertainment Unit. at Argos.co.uk has a reasonable price for it's size.

Thanks all I got some wood and brackets and fitted it today. It worked out really well.

There were some really good websites for shelves, but just nothing was really ideal except some custom shelves that were about £140 odd. So I did it myself. I think if it was in the room itself I would have bought some, but for inside a cupboard, it was easy to just screw the brackets on the wall.

Got the long span shelving for my shed. A forty foot trailer turned up looking for an industrial estate to deliver them as they are usually used in warehouses. Driver was very astonished to have to deliver to a domestic address.

But in the end decided it was a bit too high and I just made it instead. I may still get that one or a similar one to store some stuff on though.
