    New work PC *gloating* :)

Having been stuck with a pentium 4 2.6ghz, 512Mb ram (later upgraded to 1Gb), and Geforce 6200 for nearly 5 years I'm finally getting my new machine having argued the current rig doesn't cut it for rendering, 3d cad, and large format graphic production. I was asked to put together a spec and although it's changed slightly here's what I've ended up with:

Q6600 G0 fitted with Arctic Freezer 7 (asked for an AK-975CU...)
    Asus P5KC
4Gb Crucial Ballistix Tracer (don't even have a window in the case...)
Geforce 8800GS 368Mb (okay, so it's not the best anymore, but more than capable for me)
    Corsair VX 450W
    Samsung F1 500Gb
    Samsung DVD/R
    Antec P182 case

O yes, I think I'll have some fun clocking this one!

You're allowed to overclock your work PC? lol

That's very nice, the Freezer will be annoying in the P182 if it spins up, it really bugged me so it had to have the scythe ninja.

Yeah, I'm yet to switch it on yet. Was a bit disappointed when I saw the AC Freezer.

We don't have a dedicated IT guy, which is crazy considering the size of the company - 50ish office staff alone. Personal PCs aren't restricted at all, I can install anything I want, pretty crazy really. I know more about Pc hardware than the unofficial IT guy. If I overclock to 3Ghz no one will even know lol. I won't be raising Vcore, just a modest increase for rendering speed

Tell you what though I'm so pleased about the case, that wasn't even in my spec, complete surprise

Yeah it's a fantastic case isn't it. Everything feels so solid and well put together. Good look for an office as well, very sedate.

Just built a computer myself with the P182, superb case, made great use of the cabling system and also exploited some nifty little holes i found for throwing cables through to make things even neater, feels so solid and looks quietly stylish.
