On air, Thermalright SP97 & appropriate fan.
    AS5 or Shinetsu G751.

any gd swiftec etc waterblock, 1/2" pipe, car heatercore, decent garden pond pump (roughly 700 l/min), big plastic tub and some de ionised water.

    Pump in the tub

pump--->heatercore--->waterblock--->into plastic tub (and round again)

Total price prob about £60-80, a bit more expensive than an air cooler, but when u consider such factors as less noise and the ability for the water to keep the temps lower than 45oC no matter what sort of overclock u churn out... id say its worth every extra penny.

my coolmaster areo 7+ and artic silver 5 are running 44c load with my 2500 barton @ 2370mHz vcore@1.7V
so the areo 7+ is ok for moderate overclocking

Thermalright SLK 800 or 900. Both stellar performers for air. But watercooling rocks.

I haven't got one but the latest Zalman (7000A Cu) should be a good mix of performance and quiet operation... For what it's worth though the Thermalrights are bloody good. Can't quite decide between the Thermalright SLK-900, the Swiftech MCX462-V and the Zalman CNPS7000A-Cu... I know the Zalman is likely to be the quietest (and *possibly* the best performer at low noise) but I'm still tempted by the other two (though memories of my SK-6 and the delta screamer are why I'm considering the Zalman)...
