Try to check your windows xp version. windows xp sp2 not supports sata drivers. You need to install xp 64 bit version. it comes with sata supported drivers. other wise try to use windows xp sp3. That time you can find your hdd disk, other wise you will get hard disk not found error.

What strange, wrong, advice. You do not need to install XP 64bit, which has more problems with drivers and isn't all that related to XP. XP (32bit) SP2 has sata 2 drivers no problem.
