I would get a proper cooler over the stock cooler. It's not very good at taming the quad cores.
Thats the older GTX, best to get the GTX+ or HD4850 imo.
£4 more will get you corsair XMS2 from scan's today only

Cheers staffsMike - I'll have a look at a proper cooler, cheers.
Switched the GTX to a HD4850, and saved a couple of quid too
The memory, the XMS2 is 5-5-5-18, whereas the SuperTalent is 5-5-5-15. So am I paying more for less? or is there another motive?
I'd be more comfortable with the corsair, I don't really know why lol I prefer geil when I can get it anyway.
The timings count for next to nothing with the current intel chips though
If you want to save a little more the P35 DFi will serve you just as well as the P45. You have an extremely low FSB to start with on the E5200 so the possible head room offered by P45 will probably never be used.
PCIe 2.0 isn't really worth much of anything right now, niether is 1600MHz FSB or 8x crossfire unless this is something you are interested in doing.
Does that differ to the q6600?
Whoops.. sorry mixing up threads now
Not really though. It's still an easy overclock for a P35 to get a Q6600 to 3.6Ghz.
I suppose the advantage of the P45 is that it can do it within or at the native FSB of 1600MHz (400MHz) where the P35 only has a native of 1333MHz (333Mhz) but that's what overclocking is all about right
Most decent P35's hit stupid FSB's anyway, often higher than P45 from what I have seen.
Heh no worries, its £30 in my pocket if I'm not going to need it.
Another thing I considered cutting back on is memory - I'll be running XP which won't be able to use 4gb of RAM, and I don't know when/if I'll upgrade to Vista.
Just wanted to find a single 2gb stick, but Corsair don't seem to do one that's in stock
Yeah they aren't that easy to find from anyone really. 4x1GB isn't too bad even when overclocking, might need a bit of extra juice if you should add them in later though.
That said at ~£35 it's probably your best bet to just get the £50 or less 4GB kit now, it'll never be much cheaper than that and probably will end up more expensive.
EDIT: Found these

it's nothing too sexy but it will work lol

Look at the timings C6!
Personally I would just go with a 4GB kit now if you want 2GB modules or just get 2 1GB you are unlikely to need more than 4GB ever and if you do upgrade to bigger modules then!
Well, I went for p35, q6600, 2x1gb, Xigmatek cooler and a HD4850.
Think that should do me
Sounds good to me
